Job Description
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, analyze, and oversee the fabrication and installation of steel structures, storage racks, and stacker crane systems for automated cold storage warehouse projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards, project schedules, and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Structural Design
- Develop 3D models and prepare fabrication and installation drawings for structural components, including columns, beams, bracings, maintenance platforms, guide rails, lifting drums, carriage frames, and related assemblies.
- Perform structural calculations for static loads, dynamic loads, wind loads, and lifting loads in accordance with applicable design standards.
- Analyze structural stability, deflection, and vibration for high-rise steel structures up to 40 meters.
2. Fabrication & Installation
- Coordinate with the fabrication workshop to ensure welding, cutting, and bolt hole tolerances meet required specifications.
- Supervise on-site installation and verify structural alignment, verticality, rail parallelism, and installation tolerances (≤2 mm/m).
- Prepare inspection reports, QA/QC documentation, and commissioning/acceptance records.
3. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with electrical, controls, and automation engineers to coordinate equipment layouts.
- Support structural calculations for foundations, floor beams, and building structures related to the project.
4. Design Improvement
- Propose solutions to optimize structural designs, reduce material consumption, and standardize modular components.
- Research suitable structural materials, coatings, and accessories for cold storage environments operating at –25°C.
- Report work progress to the direct supervisor.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design & Manufacturing, Structural Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Graduates from leading technical universities such as Hanoi University of Science and Technology, National University of Civil Engineering, or University of Transport and Communications are preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in steel structure design or supervision of mechanical equipment installation.
- Experience with automated cold storage warehouses, overhead cranes, automated storage rack systems, or stacker crane projects is highly preferred.
- Proficient in:
- AutoCAD 2D
- Autodesk Inventor, Siemens NX, or SolidWorks
- SAP2000 or Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis
- Microsoft Excel for engineering calculations
- Good understanding of machining and manufacturing processes, including machining tolerances, milling, turning, and sheet metal fabrication.
- Knowledge of international standards such as EN 1090-2, EN 15620, ISO 3834, TCVN 5575, and AWS D1.1 is an advantage.
- Strong systems thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with electrical and automation engineering teams.
- English proficiency is an advantage.
- Creative mindset with the ability to adapt to new technologies.

Working Hours
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM | 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
- Plus two Saturdays per month.
