Electrical Engineer – Industrial Electrical Systems

Job Description

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to design, install, commission, and maintain electrical and control systems for industrial machinery, production lines, automation systems, and electrical control panels, ensuring safety, reliability, and energy efficiency.

1. Electrical Design & Engineering

  • Design electrical schematics, control panels, and industrial power distribution systems (AC/DC, single-phase, three-phase).
  • Calculate and select electrical components, including circuit breakers, contactors, relays, inverters (VFDs), PLCs, sensors, motors, cables, MCCBs, and MCC panels.
  • Develop electrical wiring diagrams, panel layouts, cable routing, and protection systems.
  • Design and program PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, and industrial sensors.

2. Installation & Commissioning

  • Supervise or directly perform the installation of electrical panels, power distribution systems, and machine control systems.
  • Perform wiring, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical and automation systems.
  • Measure and verify electrical parameters to ensure compliance with safety standards (TCVN, IEC).
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues while providing technical support during production.

3. Maintenance & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop preventive maintenance plans and perform regular inspections and replacement of industrial electrical equipment.
  • Improve control systems to enhance reliability, reduce energy consumption, and increase machine performance.
  • Record equipment failures, analyze root causes, and recommend preventive solutions.

4. Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare and maintain electrical drawings, schematic diagrams, control panel drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM).
  • Develop operation manuals, inspection checklists, and commissioning reports.
  • Ensure all electrical equipment and systems comply with electrical safety standards, EMC/EMI, CE, and ISO requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in designing, installing, or maintaining industrial electrical systems, machinery, production lines, or electrical control panels.
  • Solid understanding of power and control circuits, overload protection, contactors, relays, timers, VFDs, servo systems, and PLCs.
  • Basic PLC programming experience (Siemens, Mitsubishi, Delta, or Omron) and HMI/VFD configuration.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or SolidWorks Electrical for electrical design.
  • Experienced in using electrical testing equipment such as clamp meters, insulation resistance testers (Megger), multimeters (VOM), and oscilloscopes.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety, control panel standards, grounding, lightning protection, and energy-saving solutions.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with mechanical, software, and production teams.
  • Ability to read and understand English technical documents, including datasheets, manuals, and electrical schematics.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and willing to travel or work on-site when required.
  • Good technical documentation and reporting skills.
  • English communication skills are an advantage.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to adapt to new technologies.

  • Salary: Negotiable based on experience and qualifications (up to VND 30 million/month).
  • Lunch allowance: VND 30,000/day.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM | 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
  • Plus two Saturdays per month.
